Privacy Policy

  1. This Privacy Policy describes the privacy practices and personal data processing principles for the "IIHF World Hockey Championship 2023 Day Ticket Lottery” (hereinafter referred to as the Lottery) for the registration data received from the individuals.
  2. The organizer of the Lottery and data controller is the "Latvian Ice Hockey Federation", registration No. 40008022294, registered address: Augšiela 1, Rīga, LV-1009, Latvia (hereinafter referred to as the Manager).
  3. The personal data of the Participants of the Lottery (hereinafter referred to as the Participant), within the framework of organization of the Lottery in accordance with the Manager's order, is processed by SIA SOMESE Baltic, registration No.: 40103207278, registered address: Brīvības iela 103-4, Rīga, LV-1001, Latvia (hereinafter referred to as the Processor).
  4. Personal data of the Participants, to ensure the 1st round and 2nd round of ticket sales in accordance with the Manager's order, is processed by the data processor OU PASSPORTIX, registration No.: 16239909, registered address: Sakala tn. 10, Tallina, 10141, Estonia (hereinafter referred to as the Ticket Seller).
  5. The Manager determines the content of the Lottery mechanisms and rules and assigns the Processor to supervise the registration process of the Participants, to ensure the preservation of registrations, to draw the winners and assigns the Ticket Seller to sell tickets to the Participants in accordance with the Lottery Rules. Thus, the Processor ensures that the Participant's data is processed for the purpose of organizing the Lottery, while the Ticket Seller ensures the processing of the Participant's data for the purpose of selling tickets based on the representation of the Controller's interests, namely Article 6.1(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as the GDPR). The Processor also records the Participants' consent to the processing of the Participant's data for marketing purposes. Data of such and only such Participants shall be transferred by the Processor to the Controller after the Lottery.
  6. The Processor works with the personal data voluntarily submitted by the Participants with the aim of registering the Participants, checking the compliance of the data submitted by the Participants with the Lottery Rules, drawing winners, informing the winners, transferring the Participants' data to the Ticket Seller, as well as transferring to the Manager the data of the Participants who have agreed to further processing of their data for marketing purposes.
  7. The Processor processes the Participant's personal data with the following purposes and legal basis:
    1. the need to enter into an agreement between the Participant and the Controller (with the Participant approving the Lottery Rules) with the aim of organizing the drawing of winners in accordance with the rules (Article 6.1(b) of the GDPR);
    2. with the aim of transferring the data of the Participants who have agreed to data processing for marketing purposes to the Controller (Article 6.1 (a) of the GDPR);
    3. to realize the goals specified in Item 5 on behalf of the Manager.
  8. The Ticket Seller processes the Participant's personal data with the aim of providing the 1st round and 2nd round of ticket sales in accordance with the terms of the Lottery Rules (Article 6.1(a) and (b) of the GDPR) in order to realize the goals specified in Item 5 on behalf of the Manager.
  9. The Controller, the Processor and the Ticket Seller hereby confirm that the data of the Participants who have not agreed to data processing for marketing purposes, will be used only within the scope of the relevant Lottery and processed for as long as it is necessary for the aforementioned purposes. The Manager and the Processor will store all registered data for 15 (fifteen) working days after the deadline for submitting claims, i.e. until 30 November 2022, in order to ensure the processing of claims in accordance with the Lottery Rules.
  10. The Participants’ data will be processed by the Controller’s, Processor’s and Ticket Seller's employees, and to ensure the Participants' safety and/or the fair conduct of the Lottery, the data may be presented to representatives of state authorities upon request. In addition, the Controller may send the Participants’ personal data to service providers involved in the fulfilment of the Lottery Rules, such as communication service providers, through which notifications will be sent to the winners.
  11. According to the Lottery Rules, in order to register for the Lottery, the Participant must submit personal data on the website www.ticketdraw.lv. If the personal data specified in the Lottery Rules are not submitted, the Participant cannot be registered for the Lottery and the Participant may not participate in the Lottery. The Lottery Rules allow the Participant to register for the Lottery 1 (one) time, thus during the entire Lottery and at the moment of determining the winners, the Manager and the Processor must be able to identify the Participant, as well as ensure the notification of the winning Participants, while the Ticket Seller must be able to ensure fair 1st round and 2nd round ticket sale in accordance with the terms of the Lottery, therefore, to participate in the Lottery, it is necessary to register the following data - name, surname, e-mail address and mobile phone number.
  12. When communicating with the Manager, each Participant has the following rights:
    1. to receive information on whether his/her data has been registered, as well as to find out what data has been registered;
    2. to correct his/her data;
    3. to restrict the processing of his/her personal data;
    4. to object to the processing of personal data specified in these Personal Data Processing Conditions;
    5. to request data deletion in accordance with Article 17 of the GDPR, for example, if the processing of personal data is not necessary for the above-mentioned personal data processing purposes, or according to the GDPR there is no legal basis for such processing (for example, legal requirements), if there are no restrictions on data deletion set by the GDPR;
    6. to file a complaint with the local data protection authority (in Latvia – Data State Inspectorate) if the Participant believes that his data has been processed illegally.
    To exercise the rights indicated in Items 12.1 to 12.6, please contact the Controller or the Processor. To file a complaint, contact the relevant authority. Please note that the Manager and the Processor aim to resolve all disputes through peaceful negotiations, so we invite the Participant to send a complaint to the Manager or the Processor.

  14. In order to carry out any of the actions listed in Item 12, the Participant must submit an official application to the data protection specialist of the relevant Controller or Processor in one of the following ways:
    1. by sending a signed application to the Controller's or Processor's office by registered letter. The submission must include a clearly expressed request for the desired actions (for example, the deletion of the Participant's data), indicating the name, surname, e-mail address and mobile phone number provided in the Lottery registration form. All data provided will be used to identify the Participant and find his/her registration that matches the data provided;
    2. by e-mail, by submitting an electronically signed application and sending it to the Processor's e-mail: dati@somese.lv or to the Controller's e-mail: lhf@lhf.lv. The submission must include a clearly expressed request for the desired actions (for example, the deletion of the Participant's data), indicating the name, surname, e-mail address and mobile phone number provided in the Lottery registration form. All data provided will be used to identify the Participant and find his/her registration that matches the data provided;
    3. by personally going to the Controller's or Processor's office and submitting a signed application after the Participant's identity has been confirmed. The submission must include a clearly expressed request for the desired actions (for example, the deletion of the Participant's data), indicating the name, surname, e-mail address and mobile phone number provided in the Lottery registration form. All data provided will be used to identify the Participant and find his/her registration that matches the data provided.
